Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our research products, quality standards, ordering and delivery.
Whether you are exploring peptide research for the first time or already work with laboratory compounds, our FAQ section is designed to give you clear information about our products, quality, storage, ordering process and research-use requirements. Select a category below to view its questions.
Product & Science
What are peptides?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids — the fundamental building blocks of proteins.
They occur naturally throughout biological systems and are involved in a wide range of cellular signalling and biological processes. Synthetic peptides are produced for controlled scientific and laboratory research, allowing researchers to investigate specific biological pathways and mechanisms.
Who can purchase CoreBiotech products?
Our products are intended for researchers, scientists, laboratories and other qualified research professionals purchasing for legitimate research purposes.
Purchasers must meet our applicable age and purchasing requirements and agree to use the products exclusively for research.
Quality & Documentation
What level of purity do your products have?
Our peptide products are independently tested for purity, with many products achieving ≥99% purity by HPLC analysis.
Where applicable, small-molecule research compounds may have different validated purity specifications. The relevant purity information for each product is provided with its supporting documentation.
We believe research quality starts with transparency — which is why product-specific analytical information should always be available for review.
Can I obtain a Certificate of Analysis?
Yes. A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) can be provided for applicable batches.
The CoA contains relevant analytical information for the specific batch, helping researchers verify the product specifications and analytical results associated with their purchase.
For a CoA request, please contact our team with your order number and product name.
How are your products supplied?
Our applicator products are supplied in a pre-filled format containing a prepared liquid formulation, where applicable.
There is no requirement for the customer to reconstitute a freeze-dried powder when purchasing a pre-filled product.
Product-specific concentration, formulation and handling information should always be checked on the relevant product documentation.
Product Handling & Storage
How should I store my research products?
Storage requirements can vary according to the specific product.
Where the product documentation specifies refrigerated storage, keep the product at 2–8°C, protected from light, and do not freeze.
Always follow the storage instructions provided on the individual product page, product label and accompanying documentation.
For batch-specific information, refer to the relevant Certificate of Analysis or product documentation.
Do I need to mix or reconstitute anything?
For products supplied as pre-filled applicators, no reconstitution or mixing is required.
Unlike freeze-dried research products that may require preparation before laboratory use, a pre-filled applicator is supplied with its formulation already prepared.
Always refer to the individual product documentation for correct laboratory handling procedures.
Understanding the Applicator Pen
How does the applicator pen work?
Our applicator products are designed to dispense a pre-measured quantity with each calibrated adjustment/click, according to the specifications of the individual product.
Because concentrations and product specifications can differ, please refer to the product-specific documentation and our Amount Calculator for measurement information relevant to laboratory research.
Important: Calculator results are provided as a measurement reference for research purposes only and should not be interpreted as medical, therapeutic or dosing advice.
How do I work out the number of clicks?
Our Amount Calculator is designed to help researchers understand the relationship between a product's stated concentration and the calibrated amount associated with the applicator.
Simply:
- Select your product
- Enter the relevant amount
- Review the corresponding calculated measurement
The calculator is provided strictly as a research measurement aid. It does not provide medical, therapeutic or human dosing instructions.
NAD+ Pen
What is NAD⁺?
NAD⁺ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a naturally occurring coenzyme found in every cell of the body. It plays a fundamental role in how cells produce energy, maintain metabolic function and respond to cellular stress.
It is essential for converting nutrients into cellular energy and supports enzymes involved in DNA repair, cellular signalling and maintaining cellular health.
Which cellular processes does NAD⁺ take part in?
NAD⁺ participates in pathways responsible for cellular energy metabolism, mitochondrial function, DNA maintenance and repair, cellular signalling, metabolic regulation and responses to cellular stress.
As we age, NAD⁺ metabolism can change, which has led to growing scientific interest in NAD⁺ and its role in healthy ageing and cellular resilience.
The NAD+ Pen & Dosing
How much NAD+ does each pen contain?
Each Core Biotech NAD+ pen contains 1000 mg of NAD+ in a total volume of 3 mL.
The pen holds 240 total units, with approximately 4.1666 mg of NAD+ per unit.
What are the recommended usage options?
Option 1 — Twice Weekly: 30 units per dose = 125 mg NAD+ per dose, used twice a week.
Option 2 — Three Times Weekly: 20 units per dose = 83.3333 mg NAD+ per dose, used three times a week.
Always follow the product instructions provided with your kit.
How do I convert pen units into milligrams?
Each unit contains approximately 4.1666 mg of NAD+, so 20 units ≈ 83.33 mg, 30 units = 125 mg and the full 240 units = 1000 mg.
How long does one NAD+ pen last?
Both recommended options use 60 units per week — either 2 × 30 units or 3 × 20 units. At 240 units per pen, that works out to approximately four weeks of use per pen.
Using the NAD+ Pen
How do I prepare and use the NAD+ pen?
Wash your hands and let the cartridge rest at room temperature for 3 minutes. Insert the cartridge into the holder, reattach it and twist on a new sterile needle. Hold the pen upright, dial one click to prime, tap the cartridge to move air bubbles to the top and press the button until a small drop appears — the pen is then ready.
Clean and pinch the chosen site, insert the needle at a 90° angle, set your dose and hold for 5 seconds. Withdraw the needle, apply gentle pressure with sterile gauze without massaging the site, and dispose of the needle in a sharps container.
The full illustrated 10-step guide is shown on the NAD+ product page.
Where should the injection site be?
The lower abdomen (at least 5 cm from the navel), the outer thigh (front or outer area) or the upper arm (back or outer area).
Clean the area with an alcohol swab and pinch a fold of skin of about 2–3 cm before use.
Is there anything I should check before using an injectable product?
Yes. Follow the instructions supplied with your specific Core Biotech product, and seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before using an injectable product.
